Roommate matching is coming to College Park
SphereHub matches students on the things that actually decide whether living together works — sleep schedule, cleanliness, budget, guests and noise — before anyone signs a lease.
How roommate matching works
- 1
Answer a few lifestyle questions
Short, one-tap screens about how you live. No account needed until you want to see your matches.
- 2
See ranked matches and why
Every match shows a compatibility score and the specific things you agree and differ on.
- 3
Connect and talk it through
Send a connection request, chat in the app, and add an optional intro video or voice note.
What we match you on
Most roommate fallouts are about the same few things: money, mess, noise and schedules. SphereHub asks about each one up front.
Budget
Your rent ceiling and whether a little over is OK.
Move-in date
So you are matched with people on the same lease cycle.
Area and commute
Where you want to live and your max commute to campus.
Sleep schedule
Early riser or night owl, matched on compatibility only.
Finding a roommate safely
Meet before you commit
Video call, then meet in a public place, before you sign anything together.
Look for the student chip
A verified .edu email shows a student badge on SphereHub profiles.
Everyone on the lease
Make sure every roommate signs the lease so no one is left covering someone else's share.
Never pay before you see a lease
Finding a roommate in College Park: FAQ
- How do I find a roommate in College Park?
- SphereHub is not live in College Park yet. Join the waitlist and we will match you as soon as the market opens.
- Is SphereHub free?
- Yes. Creating a roommate profile, seeing your matches and messaging are free for students.
- Do I need a .edu email?
- No. Google or any email works. A campus .edu address adds a verified student badge to your profile.
- I already have a place. Can I find roommates for it?
- Yes. List your place on SphereHub and set how many rooms you need to fill, and students looking in your area can find it and apply.
- How is this different from Facebook groups or Craigslist?
- Instead of scrolling posts and guessing, you are matched on how you actually live, every match explains why you fit, and you can apply to a listing as a group in the same place.
